Genre: YA Contemporary, Romance
Publishing date: March 4, 2025

Rep: sapphic, asexual, demisexual, lgbt+, Asian-American
Synopsis:
A swoony romance between driven, practical Lynda Fan and her rich, arrogant classmate, Angela Wu. When Angela offers Lynda the chance to design characters for her otome game, Lynda discovers things she never knew about herself…or her heart.
Love is an art.
Sixteen-year-oldLynda Fan has the skills and the drive to get into the Rhode Island School of Design—but not the money. Her parents are too busy paying for her stepsister’s violin lessons to help Lynda get into art school.
So when her rich and arrogant classmate, Angela Wu, offers to hire Lynda as a character designer for an otome game—a love story-based video game—she jumps at the opportunity.
Lynda isn’t exactly a romantic, but in pursuit of her dreams, she discovers things she never knew about herself while also finding love with every heart she draws.

I grew up reading more manga than novels, beginning with Sailor Moon. My fifth grade teacher once told me I had to stop picking Sailor Moon chapter books for my reading assignments, and ten-year-old me wasn’t too happy about that.
Once I entered middle school, I started dreaming up my own stories and turning them into written words. Believe it or not (and may I shamefully admit), it wasn’t until college that I actually discovered my love for books that didn’t have illustrations in them. Since then, I’ve been an avid reader of YA and spend way too much time getting lost in other people’s imagination.
Now I write young adult fiction and am represented by Lynnette Novak from The Seymour Agency.
