About Us

Toppling Stacks took over TBR and Beyond Tours in June 2025. Before then, TBR and Beyond Tours started as a passion project three years ago. We had the idea of starting up a little book club on Facebook that was completely inclusive, a safe space for readers, and most importantly, a place we could gather to share in our love of books. What started out as a small project quickly turned into something more – with thousands of members, tons of participation, countless book events, and author live chats… it became a community.

We’ve been so lucky to be able to promote and boost so many incredible authors over the past few years, with a focus on debut, and marginalized authors. Our team keeps growing and we decided it was time to make the natural next step in helping authors by starting up a book tour company. We are so excited to begin this journey with all of you. Time to meet our team!

Sarah (She/Her) – The Clever Reader:

My name is Sarah (she/her). I live in UT with my husband, two littles, dog Ronin, and cat Milo. I didn’t read much throughout my teen years but discovered a love of YA Novels when I picked up Twilight when taking a road trip. I was then transported into the arena with Katniss and Peeta in the Hunger Games, traveled between worlds in The Mortal Instruments, and was initiated into the factions of The Divergent. I visited the library and fell into the adventures with Percy, Annabeth, and Grover as they attended Camp Half-Blood, went on adventures with Seth and Kendra in Fablehaven, and discovered the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. I was hooked after that and began devouring all the books!

It only took one day of reading during the slow times at my day job to meet my bestie and Co-Founder of THE best book club in Salt Lake City, YA and Wine. I am a book reviewer and a confessed author event junkie. My first book event was Sarah J. Maas for the launch of Queen of Shadows in the fall of 2015. Since then I’ve met many amazing authors from Leigh Bardugo, Veronica Roth, Stephanie Garber, Renee Ahdieh, Madeline Miller, Lyla Sage, Sarah Adams, etc. If it weren’t for our local indie bookshop, The King’s English, I wouldn’t have made so many amazing bookish friends and attended so many memorable events.

I joined the moderators of the TBR Beyond Book Club on Facebook and the team for the TBR & Beyond Tours in 2024. It opened even more amazing bookish opportunities including taking over the TBR Beyond Tours and rebranding it to become Toppling Stacks Tours. I wouldn’t trade this crazy life for anything.

Candyce (She/Her) – The Book Dutchesses:

Hi all, I’m Candyce. I’m a book nerd that lived in the US until I was 13 and then moved to The Netherlands with my mother and stepfather. I’ve been here since then. I’ve always been an avid reader. Participating in a Throne of Glass read along sparked my love of reading just a little bit more and brought me to the bookish community.  I’ve been trying to step outside of my comfort zone with reading, but my favorites are fantasy, contemporary and romance. A little over seven years ago I started a book blog with a really good friend of mine, The Book Dutchesses. I love sharing the love of books. When I’m not reading you can find me with my cat, Shadow, and my boyfriend who I live with. Besides reading I watch way too many TV shows, play board games, Dungeons and Dragons and coloring.

Heather (She/Her) – Nine Bookish Lives:

Hi guys, I’m Heather (she/her)! I’m a Canadian Bookaholic and a fur-mama of three. My favourite genres are Romance, Romantasy, cozy Mysteries, Thriller and Horror (not always in that order). I read a mixture of Middle Grade, YA and Adult. I was introduced to reading at a young age, but it wasn’t until my late teens—when my Grandma shared the Stephanie Plum and Temperance Brennan series—that I truly fell in love with it. I’ve been reading and collecting books ever since!

When I’m not reading, I’m working full-time at my local college as an administrative assistant and instructor. In my downtime, I enjoy playing video games (Mario, Sonic, and Crash are classics, but I promise I play newer ones too!), painting, and recently re-learning how to color with alcohol markers. You can find me on Bookstagram as ninebookishlives.

I love connecting with fellow book lovers through tours, helping stories reach their audiences, and championing diverse representation in literature.  This passion led me to TBR and Beyond Book Club on Facebook, where I became a Mod in 2019, and later joined TBR and Beyond Tours soon after its launch in 2020.

I am an OwnVoice reviewer for: Asian (Chinese), Queer (Bisexual, Demigirl), Anxiety, Depression, Plus-sized, and Chronic Pain

Dennise (She/Her) – Bookdemonio

Howdy, my name’s Dennise and I self describe as a chronically online person. If you’re asking about books, I’ll read anything but I especially love fantasy and horror. If you’re trying to locate me on a saturday evening, I’m either playing video games or crocheting. My other obsessions include cosplaying, DnD, and playing board games. You can find me @bookdemonio for my reading rambles and you can find me @cahjiio for most other things!

I am an OwnVoice reviewer for: Latinx, anxiety, queer, pansexual.
